“I gained teaching experience through student teaching for third grade in Lemoore, and as a substitute in Riverdale for Grades PreK–12. From 2017–2020, I volunteered as a Bible study teacher. 2023 is my first year with my own classroom, and I am very excited!
As a first year teacher, I am most excited to get to know my students. I look forward to helping them grow in Christ and to learning how to think critically, independently — all while developing the skills they’ll need for the school year. So far, St. Rose-McCarthy seems like a wonderful community. It feels like the dream job — to serve Christ and do the very thing I love to do: Teach children.
Every moment spent in the classroom is memorable. As a former student teacher, I will never forget the “ah-ha” looks on the faces of my students when I taught them something academically important or something valuable about life. Those little moments remind me the most of my contribution to the community, and how these young learners will grow to be the next leaders of their generation.
When I am not working, I enjoy running, singing, learning how to cook, and playing with my dog, Ginger.”
