Urgent Prayer Request from Bishop Brennan

The California legislature is now poised to pass two pieces of destructive legislation.

SB 24 — Requires student health centers at every CSU and UC campus to prescribe and distribute so-called medication abortion. No exemption is allowed for health care personnel who do not wish to participate. 

SB 360 — Requires Catholic priests to be mandatory reporters for incidents of child abuse even when this is revealed during the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In other words, priests would be required by law to violate the Confessional seal.
