St. Rose-McCarthy Catholic School
Teacher giving award to student.

“My roots at St. Rose-McCarthy are deep. Both of my parents and my grandmother attended Catholic school in the Midwest. Of course, I attended the school and so do my two daughters. I share this because we truly understand both the commitment and blessings that come with a Catholic education.

Mrs. Vicky Rioux

My working career at SRM began on the Early Literacy Team and substitute teaching. In 2011, I became the 7th Grade teacher. Today, I teach both 6th and 7th grades. I am especially pleased at their accomplishments in the regional and California State Science Fair. In addition, I am honored to be the vice principal. It is my goal to plant the seeds not only of faith in my students but the love of learning too. My philosophy of education can be summed up by this: I believe it is my responsibility as a teacher to help students develop the gifts that God has bestowed on them, so that they may grow to become Christ’s hands, feet, and body, doing HIS work in the world to create a more just, caring, and equitable society.”
