I've been teaching physical education for about nine years. I started in high school and continued to gain experience throughout college. I was a physical education aide for the Dinuba Unified School District. I am excited about beginning my first year as a P.E. teacher with my own classes at St. Rose-McCarthy.

My aim is to help students understand the importance of remaining active throughout life. My focus will be teaching the fundamentals of various sports, general kinesiology, and playing physical games.

When I was in college, we were teaching at an elementary school and my group and I taught Frisbee Golf to the kids. We came up with a unique course for the students to work through with various practice targets in preparation for our full game at the end of the lesson. The targets were so engaging, some of the classroom teachers came out to participate with the students.

I was honored to be selected to be a presenter for Fresno State during one of their Sports Science Institute camps to encourage high school students who might be interested in pursuing a career in physical education.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
